Q: Can I view and manage by surveillance cameras online?
A: Yes, Surveillance Secure will soon offer our customers MyRemoteViewer
TM, an advanced service offering that allows clients the flexibility to
view, record, schedule recording times and archive content online.
Q: Why are some surveillance cameras more expensive than others?
A: Some surveillance cameras are more expensive due to their specific features, durability and application.
Q: What is "CCTV?"
A: Closed-Circuit-Television (CCTV) is the terminology used to describe an arrangement of surveillance cameras used to monitor a given location.
Q: What is the difference between a dome camera and a bullet camera?
A: A dome camera is used to conceal the position of the camera lens behind a smoked "dome" housing and is typically mounted flush with the ceiling, whereas a bullet camera is more noticeable and can be mounted on either ceilings or walls.
Q: How many surveillance cameras are necessary for a particular location?
A: If you want to view more than one area, you'll need at least one surveillance camera per area. In some cases you may require two or more cameras in an area. If good identification is required, a general rule of thumb would be that each camera should cover an area of no more than 30 feet.
Q: What is a Pinhole Camera?
A: A pinhole camera is a video camera with micro lens (pinhole, 1~2 mm viewing diameter). The camera can be as small as 18mm x 18mm x 18mm. Due to the small viewing diameter, pinhole cameras can film through very small holes and are well suited for covert purposes. Surveillance Secure can provide and install covert as well as visible cameras as part of any project.
